Position Title : Regional Director of Business Development

Location : Engage Healthcare – Regional Position (covering multiple Maryland facilities)

Summary

Engage Healthcare is seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Director of Business Development to lead and oversee census growth, referral relations, and market strategy across our network of skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Maryland.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven healthcare marketing professional with a proven ability to build strong referral partnerships, drive admissions, and lead facility-based marketing teams. This individual will play a key strategic role in advancing Engage Healthcare’s mission of delivering exceptional skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care services to the communities we serve.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic marketing and business development plans to drive census growth across assigned facilities.

Oversee and mentor facility-level Admission and Marketing Directors to ensure consistent branding, messaging, and referral management practices.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, home health agencies, and other referral sources.

Analyze market trends, referral data, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.

Monitor admission metrics, conversion ratios, and payer mix to ensure census goals are met or exceeded.

Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to ensure a seamless admissions process and exceptional customer service.

Participate in community outreach, professional networking, and public relations events to promote Engage Healthcare’s brand and services.

Report regularly to executive leadership on performance outcomes, marketing initiatives, and strategic objectives.

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and ethical marketing standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in healthcare business development , preferably in skilled nursing, post-acute care, or rehabilitation services.

Demonstrated success in census growth, referral development, and strategic market planning.

Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.

Ability to travel regularly between assigned facilities throughout Maryland.

Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.

Professional demeanor with a strong focus on relationship-building and customer service excellence.
