Mechanical Engineer Engine Testing

Location : Stoughton, WI

Pay Rate : $30$35 / hour

Schedule : 1st shift, MondayFriday, 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM

Interview Process : All interviews conducted onsite

Position Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support engine testing, data quality management, and technical collaboration with test requestors. This hands-on role involves performing a variety of testing and analysis tasks to support validation and verification efforts within the engineering function.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute engine testing processes, including validation and verification testing

Conduct Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA)

Apply 7-Step Problem Solving methodology to technical issues

Collect, manage, and ensure data quality for all tests performed

Perform data analysis on test results and prepare detailed technical reports

Interface and communicate with test requestors regarding test parameters and results

Utilize MATLAB and process capability tools to support testing efforts

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering

24 years of experience in engine testing or related field

Experience with validation and verification testing

Proficiency in FMEA and 7-Step Problem Solving

Experience collecting and analyzing technical data

Proficiency with MATLAB

Understanding of process capability concepts

Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Hands-on approach with the ability to work directly with stakeholders

Preferred / Bonus Skills

Coding or programming experience
