Job Title : Director Of Practice Growth
Location : Fully remote position with 10% (~3-4 days per month) travel to Rochester, NY.
Position Overview : The Director Of Practice Growth will take a lead role in accelerating growth in the firm, overseeing the marketing, sales and product management functions and aligning them toward targeted revenue growth. Reporting directly to the CEO / Managing Partner, this person will have a voice in the direction of firm growth, the services offered, the industries served and the go-to-market strategy. Forward-thinking, this person will be the go-to source for all aspects of sales support, traditional marketing, marketing operations, marketing technology and product management.
This opportunity will allow the Director Of Practice Growth to lead a team of in-house marketing professionals and build relationships with the right external resources (e.g., PR firm, web company, etc.) to deliver results. Not only will this person add value to the firm, but they will also be intellectually challenged by the current and future job requirements including :
Strategy : Developing and executing the firm's annual growth plan; including office plans and segment / niche plans. Preparing the marketing and business development budget to support growth plans. Implementing and directing all marketing strategies for each initiative. Identifying ways to improve ROI on marketing activities.
Marketing : Overseeing brand strategy, marketing campaigns, demand generation, digital presence, and thought leadership efforts to raise the firm's profile and drive growth. Ensuring that messaging reflects the firm's people-first values, deep expertise, and strong community roots. Guiding the actions of niche and marketing teams to support the growth plan. Initiating all public relations activities. Establishing a revenue-generating website based on optimal site design, usability, conversion strategy and organic search. Ensuring regular communications with clients and prospects via email marketing, marketing automation and social media. Strategizing and planning all in-person and web-based events. Developing and implementing a content marketing plan designed to capture leads at every stage of the sales funnel. Helping to turn segment / niche leaders into thought leaders in their respective areas. Developing and assuring proper distribution of marketing support materials.
Sales : Owning the firm's databases of clients, prospects, news media and referrals. Reinforcing the firm's sales process through training, coaching and other activities that drive profitable revenue. Coaching professionals on business development pursuits. Implementing and overseeing the firm's pipeline process. Supporting the development of proposals. Reviewing sales outcomes for improvement areas. Overseeing and assisting in the development of buyer-focused winning proposals.
Product Management : Understanding where all services are in the lifecycle and developing strategies to increase revenues. Developing core messaging for each offering. Overseeing the service innovation function, working to identify, test and take to market new offerings. Educating the sales force (a.k.a., the practitioners) on the firm's offerings and messaging.

Requirements : Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related area. Advanced degree a plus.
10+ years of senior experience in growth, business development, or marketing within the accounting, professional services, or consulting sector preferred.
The ability to effectively interact with all levels of firm personnel and external contacts with tact and professionalism, maintaining discretion regarding confidential firm and client matters at all times.
A roll-up-your-sleeves and get-it-done attitude.
Proven experience in support of sales, marketing principles and product management.
A change agent with a proven ability to bring new ideas, concepts and processes to a traditional environment.
Ability to persuasively communicate and sell new concepts and processes to all levels within the firm.
Ability to establish credibility and be decisive, but able to recognize and support the firm's preferences and priorities.
Results and profit-oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.

Salary Information : In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the starting base pay range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 annually + bonus based on performance of sales generated. This range is a reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and / or education and geographic location. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the capabilities and experience of the candidate. Incentives, if any, depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and firm performance.
