Ap / Ar Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated AP / AR Specialist to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The role involves managing accounts receivable and payable processes, primarily using QuickBooks, to ensure efficient payment cycle activities. This position is based onsite, with four days a week at our Tualatin, OR location and one day a week at our Portland location.

Responsibilities :

• Manage all payment cycle activities, primarily within QuickBooks, in a timely and efficient manner.
• Track payments, expenditures, sales orders, invoices, and statements.
• Process scale tickets for invoicing and settle dealer-level tickets.
• Send invoices via mail, email, and fax.
• Post payments to invoices and make deposits, occasionally driving to the local bank.
• Process checks using a scanner and prepare A / R aging reports for management and customers.
• Prepare A / R reports for month-end closing and follow up with customers for overdue payments.
• Act as a backup for the scale office and A / P clerk, processing scale tickets and answering phones.
• Maintain account files and post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Post revenues by verifying and entering transactions and update receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.
• Resolve authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries and unauthorized deductions by following procedures.
• Summarize receivables by maintaining invoice accounts and verifying totals.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
