Security Officer

Sign-on Bonus : Up to $5,100.00. Department : Security. Schedule : Full Time, 40 hours weekly, 8 hour shifts 11pm - 7 : 30am, weekends required, days off to be determined. Hospital : Ascension Via Christi Hospitals. Location : Wichita, KS Via Christi associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through our academic partnership with Wichita State University.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.
• Perform proactive monitoring of and timely response to potential / actual security threats.
• Investigate, document and manage security incidents and hazards.
• Maintain knowledge / follow policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency / disaster preparedness plans.
• May facilitate planned drills and simulations.
• Provide information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety.
