Data Platform Engineer- 6 Month Assignment

MaxHealth is seeking a highly skilled Data Platform Engineer (DBA) to join our data engineering team to modernize and optimize our data pipelines. The Data Platform Engineer (DBA) will be responsible for the management, optimization, modernization, and governance of our enterprise data warehouse. This role requires strong technical expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) / Fabric / or other similar technologies, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server, and modern BI platforms (Domo and Power BI)

Location- Hybrid / Tampa

1099 Contractor- Starting salary $110,000 annum based on experience

This is a 6-month assignment with the possibility of opportunity for extension into a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

Modernization & Optimization

• Partner with IT leadership and data engineering teams to design and implement a modernized, scalable, and cloud-ready data platform.
• Design, develop, and maintain modernized ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Fabric, Databricks and / or SSIS to integrate multiple data sources into the enterprise data warehouse.
• Recommend and implement improvements to ETL processes, storage, indexing strategies, and query performance.
• Explore and adopt automation tools, monitoring systems, and DevOps practices for database operations.
• Support migration strategies from legacy systems to cloud or hybrid architectures.
• Optimize and refine existing ETL processes to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
