American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Management / Utilization Review nurse with at least 3 years of clinical experience for an outpatient / inpatient care setting in rural Arizona.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position operates in both inpatient and outpatient hospital settingsDuties involve case management and utilization review for a diverse patient populationWork schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pmWeekend on-call rotation required, typically one weekend per monthCollaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers and physician advisorsResponsibilities include assessment, service planning, care coordination, resource acquisition, monitoring progress, and responding to emerging client needsConducts documentation reviews for clinical care, peer review, and insurance or claims denials as neededParticipates in discharge planning and care transitions with social work case managementLinks clients with community social service, health care, substance abuse, and mental health providersWorks with culturally diverse and low-income populations with complex barriers to self-sufficiencyTeam-based environment involving collaboration with a range of clinical, administrative, and support staffOrientation provided every two weeksCOVID-19 and flu vaccine exemptions may be accepted with proper declination form submissionHospital-provided housing may be available but is not guaranteed; only shared contractor housing is offered, with no pets or family allowedHousing applications must be submitted at least two weeks prior to start\n \n Requirements\n
Active, unrestricted RN license from any state or compact licenseMinimum of three years of clinical nursing experience, including two years in inpatient or higher acuity settings such as Med-Surg, PACU, ICU, Step-Down, Telemetry, or direct home healthExperience with case management and utilization review processes requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA requiredAssociate's Degree in Nursing required; must obtain BSN within two years of hireAt least one year of travel nursing experience as a contractorMust have knowledge of electronic health record systemsFingerprinting must be completed and cleared prior to start\n Benefits\n
