Job Purpose
American Honda Finance Corporation is currently seeking an Assistant Manager of Credit / Pricing for our Risk and Analysis department. This position will report to the Manager of Risk and Analysis. The Assistant Manager of Credit in the Consumer Financial Services division of AHFC manages the company’s consumer financial services portfolio and credit loss mitigation efforts by monitoring, analyzing, reporting on the credit quality and performance, and recommends adjustments to credit policy as warranted by the analytics. The Assistant Manager will make recommendations related to originations scorecards, automated credit decisioning, and efficiency improvements for credit-related areas of risk. This supports AHFC’s objective to maintain a healthy financial position, which in turn supports our parent company AHM with profitability.
Key Accountabilities
Key Accountabilities will include but are not limited to :
- Oversea analyses and reporting for credit area, monitor the Consumer Financial Services portfolio
- Lead efficiency improvements for credit-related areas of risk, which includes working with the company’s data systems to ensure integrity
- Supervise the pricing area and ensure pricing models are accurate
- Supervise Ad -Hoc analysis requests from both internal and external customers, lead credit-related initiatives that will help sales strategies or will assist in loss mitigation
- Accountable for supervising associates and leading a unit within the Risk department

Minimum Education Qualifications :
BA / BS degree required in mathematics / statistics, finance, economics, business, business administration or related fieldMasters or MBA degree is preferredMinimum Experience :
7+ years of work experience in captive finance or consumer lendingExperienced with indirect loan / lease consumer lendingExperienced and knowledgeable with credit marketsExperienced with pricing and modelingOther Job Specific Skills :
Proficient in MS Windows applications, with a strong emphasis in Excel and AccessExperience with statistical and financial modelling with spreadsheetsSupervisory experience a plusExperience querying relational databasesExposure to data mining large datasetsExposure to VBA, SAS, SQLExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent mathematical skills and financial acumenStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detailSelf-motivatedIndependent thinkerGood organizational abilityPossess the ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of management.Job Dimensions
