Job description

Paraprofessional / Instructional Assistant

AB Staffing is looking for Paraprofessionals/Classroom Aides that are available for the 2025/2026 school year.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or completion of competency videos.
  • Experience with preschool and elementary school-aged populations; experience with Autism support preferred.
  • Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.

Job Description:

  • Caseload and details of position will differ based on school location
    • Recruitment Specialists can discuss in detail upon application to connect you to the classroom and best suits your experience and skillset
  • Contract through the 2025/2026 school year – 32 to 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract follows the academic district calendar

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides individual and group instruction as directed; demonstrates and assists students with skill development exercises. Implements designated portions of lesson plans. Participates with students in classroom activities
  • Implement behavior modification plans. Observes and records student actions, progress, and other occurrences
  • Prepares the classroom and helps manage the students; organizes the room and materials; records attendance; maintains bulletin boards
  • Sets up and operates audio visual equipment
  • Performs photocopying and general office clerical work
  • Performs related work as required

Salary:

  • $608.00 – $825.00 per week.
