As an enthusiastic and hardworking Sales Associate / Material Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring all customers and donors needs are met by a genuine greeting and giving prompt, and courteous assistance. You will be stocking priced items ready to be merchandised on the sales floor. You will be assisting in the maintenance of the store and donation area, to keep it clean, neat, and organized. You will be performing cleaning duties as assigned by Management. You will be following all POS / Cash Register Policies in accordance with TSA Policies and Procedures. You will be maintaining safety and compliance standards. You will be attending required Monthly Store Meetings. You will be receiving, unloading, and stocking incoming inventory items accurately and efficiently. You will be providing Quality Assurance by inspecting products for defects and damages. You will be courteously assisting the donor in the removal of all donated items from the donor's vehicle and providing receipt. You will be separating and sorting all donated material into the proper containers, and properly stacking material as instructed by Management. You will be performing other written and / or verbal duties as may be assigned by Management.
Qualifications to be considered for this position include a high school diploma / GED, being 18 or older, and the ability to accurately handle POS / Cash Register operations and cash transactions. You will need to pass a background check, which will include a criminal history and sex offender registry. Effective communication with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors is essential. Physical demands include the ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. You will need to grasp, push, pull objects, and lift up to 50lbs. You will be able to perform various repetitive motion tasks. Our stores operate 7 days per week, from 9am to 8pm. Work schedules are determined by Management and employees must be flexible to ensure adequate store coverage. Part-time associates may be scheduled to work any part-time shift including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
