The Building People has an opening for a full-time Sr. Strategic Proposal Partner / Lead to manage and perform the activities involved in the development and revision of major proposals. Participate as part of a proposal team or lead in the cradle-to-grave development of a proposal. Apply working knowledge of teaming strategies with large and small businesses. Apply knowledge of contract types and contract administration.
Responsibilities
Review RFQ / RFPs for proposal production / documentation guidelinesResearch, prepare, and revise proposal materials, including but not limited to resumes, past performance, responses to sources sought, etc.Work with Capture Manager(s) to develop, maintain, and communicate proposal outline, schedule, and other activitiesCraft data calls to solicit required information to develop content for proposal sectionsServe as the point of contact for sources providing information for proposals. Receive and send materials and coordinate the deadlines and materials needed with The Building People staff and teammatesWrite compelling, compliant, quality-driven proposal sections or edit existing technical content, as needed, that addresses RFP requirements, while highlighting win themes, features and benefits, risks and mitigation approaches, and discriminators as appropriateProofread and review proposal material throughout the proposal development processCreate proposal templates and finalize proposal documents using MS Word and other MS Office softwareEstablish and maintain files in knowledge management system and file structureUse standard best practices for submitting compliant proposalsBe consistent in proposal development for style, presentation, and RFP guidelinesDemonstrate personality and leadership skills to engage and motivate a diverse group of proposal contributorsExhibit strong leadership skills in facilitating and coordinating the content from various sourcesLeverage AI tools to enhance content development, process efficiency, and knowledge managementDevelop and implement best practices, SOPs, templates, and guides for proposal processesQualifications
10-15 years of experience with managing, developing, and writing Proposals in response to federal and / or Department of Defense Requests for ProposalsExperience leading large, managing complex proposals ($50M+ opportunities), developing, and writing Proposals in response to federal and / or Department of Defense Requests for ProposalsExpertise in Shipley-based proposal development, FAR compliance, and government contractingExperience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPointExperience with completing individual tasks effectivelyExperience with working in a team environmentFamiliarity with AI-driven proposal development tools, CRM systems, and knowledge management platformsAbility to obtain a security clearanceBA or BS degreeAssociation of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Certification (Preferred)Shipley Capture Management & Proposal Development TrainingOur positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government.Please note that telework arrangements are subject to change based on customer requirements.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
