The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall success and operational performance of a Wendy's restaurant. Skills and qualifications include at least 2 years of management experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry, with a strong background in operations, staff management, and customer service. Experience in a fast-casual or quick-service restaurant is highly preferred. Leadership, customer service, financial acumen, problem solving, communication, organization, and attention to detail are also required.
Job requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, frequent bending, stooping, squatting, stretching, twisting, and reaching above eye level, walk up and down stairs, occasional sitting, talking, and active listening, lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, move around the kitchen quickly and efficiently, and comply with food safety and sanitation regulations. Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays, work in a loud, fast-paced environment, exposure to heat, noise, and cleaning chemicals, proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and training, awareness of temperature fluctuations and safe practices, adaptability to different environments, and awareness of potential hazards are also part of the job.
