Job Title : AP Accountant
Salary : $65,000-$68,000 annually
Overview :
Our client in the construction industry is seeking a detail-oriented AP Accountant to join their team. This is a high-impact role focused on managing accounts payable across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in a fast-paced environment. The AP Accountant will play a key role in supporting both general and project-based accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review, code, and process invoices (general and project-based), ensuring proper routing and approval
- Track invoice progress and prepare weekly check runs
- Maintain vendor records, collect W-9s, and ensure accurate 1099 reporting
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and manage payment timelines
- Monitor accounts to prevent duplicate payments and maintain subcontractor insurance certificates
- Answer phones, sort and distribute mail, and handle confidential personal expense processing
- Support intercompany payments and lien waiver tracking as directed
- Perform ad hoc projects and support broader accounting functions as needed
