Job Description
We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis (4–6 hours per day) at our Oakdale office. This role requires independence, accountability, and the ability to manage daily accounting operations with minimal supervision. The position combines key functions in accounting, payroll, Medicare billing, and HR compliance, and works primarily independently while collaborating with leadership as needed.
Responsibilities
- Process company invoicing and billing
- Manage accounting and reporting in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Prepare and file reports with relevant authorities
- Generate financial reports for company management
- Coordinate payroll, track commissions, and manage financial matters for employees across multiple states
- Monitor and track company costs and revenues
- Manage employee benefits, including healthcare, 401(k), and PTO
- Oversee employee tax filings and the Partnership's 2024 Return of Income (K-1 Withholding Tax)
- Handle financial and administrative responsibilities related to the implementation of Medicare insurance (we are currently in the process of implementing insurance)
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure their timely completion
Requirements / Preferred
Proven hands-on experience with medical billing and insurance submissions, including Medicare and at least one major commercial payerStrong working knowledge of CPT / HCPCS coding and insurance documentation requirements (e.g., requisitions, ABNs, diagnosis codes, qualifiers)Demonstrated experience with multi-state payroll and benefits administration, including W-2 / 1099 filings and 401(k) / health insuranceFamiliarity with HIPAA compliance and handling of PHI in a healthcare or laboratory settingAbility to work independently in a small-company environment, balancing accounting, billing, and HR responsibilitiesPreferred Certifications (not required, but strongly valued) : CPC (Certified Professional Coder – AAPC); CMRS (Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist – AMBA); CPP (Certified Payroll Professional – APA)What We Offer
