Mechanical Engineer Requirements & Qualifications :
Must Haves :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, preferred but not requiredMinimum 5 years of experienceProficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling, assemblies, and drawing creation)Experience with SolidWorks macros or programming to automate design tasksStrong understanding of machine design principles , mechanical systems , and industrial automation equipmentAbility to apply and adhere to engineering standards and safety requirementsExcellent collaboration and communication skills across departmentsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving mindsetMust be able to pass a background check and drug screenU.S. citizenship requiredDay-to-Day Responsibilities :
Participate in new project planning with sales and controls engineering teamsCreate detailed 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks for custom machines and systemsDesign new machine concepts or adapt existing designs to meet customer needsEnsure compliance with company standards for preferred components and mechanismsSupport assembly, manufacturing, and controls teams during machine buildAssist in troubleshooting during assembly and customer runoffProvide post-installation support and solutions for design-related issuesCollaborate with other engineers to streamline mechanical workflows and improve automation design efficiencyOccasionally travel to review existing customer processes or installations (minimal travel)Mechanical Engineer Preferred Background & Skills :
Experience with automation equipment , robotics , or motion control systemsFamiliarity with PLCs, servos, pneumatics, and hydraulicsKnowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, and assemblyExposure to project management and cross-functional collaborationAbility to write or maintain SolidWorks macros , or other engineering automation scriptsCreative, detail-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
