Job description

LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Orthopedic Surgery MD in Atlantic City, New Jersey, 08401!

Pay Information

$2,400 to $2,500 per day

About The Position

Position Title : Orthopedic Surgeon – Locum Tenens

Location : New Jersey (Hospital-Based – Level 2 Trauma Center)

Start Date : As soon as credentialed

Credentialing Timeframe : 60–90 days

Schedule & Call

Coverage : 24 / 7 (Combination of in-house, on-call, and intermittent coverage)

In-House Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Call Shift : 5 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (night call)

Call Ratio : 1 : 3 | Minimum 10 call days / month; up to 14 possible

Clinic Day : 1 half-day per week (approx. 5–10 patients, indigent population)

Total Annual Cases : ~700

Call Covers : Two locations

Practice Details

Reason for Coverage : Physician vacancy

Setting : Hospital-based, level 2 trauma center

Clinic Volume : ~6 patients on clinic day (half-day)

Surgical Volume : 3–5 surgical cases per day

Trauma Level : Level 2

Operating Rooms : 7

EMR : Cerner

Orthopedic Surgeons on Staff : Private practice coverage (approx. 10)

Pediatrics : No peds at this time

Patient Population : Adult & geriatric

Adult & Geriatric Ortho Surgery

General Orthopedic Trauma Care

Total Hip Replacement

Hip Joint Revision / Repair

General Orthopedics (fractures, dislocations, amputations, tumors, etc.)

Surgical & Non-Surgical Ortho Care

Excluded Procedures :

Percutaneous Disc Surgery

Arthroscopy

Requirements

Board Certified – Required

Active NJ License – Required (No exceptions)

Ortho Trauma Surgery Experience – Clearly document training, fellowship, or case history

At Time of Credentialing :

BLS Certification – Required
