Our Schroon Lake location is currently looking to find an excited individual to join our team of Sales / Hardware Manager associates.

Summary

To engage in over the counter and phone sales with a successful balance of maximum gross profit and customer satisfaction with a main focus in hardware sales and inventory management.

Customer Service

  • Acknowledge, greet, and assist customers in a timely and professional manner
  • Handle telephone and electronic inquiries efficiently and effectively
  • Identify the needs and provide the appropriate level of assistance to the customer
  • Effectively research and resolve customer complaints and conflicts
  • Understand the marketplace
  • Know product features
  • Work to meet prospect customers' needs
  • Effective suggestive and upgrade selling and add-on sales
  • Effective closing technique
  • Quote follow up - quote to order conversion
  • Share expertise with others

Sales and Margin

  • Meet and or exceed individual sales goals
  • Meet and or exceed individual margin goals
  • Manage Order Profitability

  • Issue accurate and complete orders
  • Manage open order report
  • Inventory and Merchandising

  • Maintain a neat, clean store and counter appearance
  • Practice good merchandising including setup and traffic flow
  • Maintain inventory levels and notify the appropriate person of stock outs
  • Rotate stock
  • Maintain and manage hardware inventory levels
  • Order needed product from vendors with a primary focus on Orgill
  • Process Orgill credits
  • Maintain an individual sales budget (quota)
  • Maintain an acceptable gross margin
  • Work productively; number of sales per day, add-on sales, quotes to orders, suggestive selling, etc.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
