Accounts Receivable Associate
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Associate for a contract-to-hire position. The ideal candidate will split their time between Tualatin and NE Portland, with the option to primarily work in Tualatin. This role involves recording payments to customer accounts and maintaining financial records efficiently and accurately. The workday begins at 7 am.
Responsibilities
- Manage all payment cycle activities primarily within QuickBooks efficiently.
- Track payments, expenditures, sales orders, invoices, and statements using QuickBooks.
- Process scale tickets for invoicing and settle dealer-level tickets.
- Send invoices via mail, email, and fax.
- Post payments to invoices and make necessary deposits.
- Process checks via a scanner and prepare A / R aging reports for management.
- Prepare A / R reports for end-of-month closing and follow up with customers for payments in arrears.
- Act as a backup for the scale office and A / P clerk.
- Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
- Update receivables by totaling unpaid invoices and resolve deductions by entering adjusting entries.
- Summarize receivables by maintaining invoice accounts and prepare necessary reports.
- Protect organizational value by maintaining confidentiality.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
Essential Skills
2-3 years of accounts receivable experience.Proficiency in QuickBooks, including all AR and invoicing functions.Advanced communication skills for interacting with customers and vendors.Mid-level Excel skills.Ability to perform soft collection calls and reminders to customers.Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Accounts Payable experience is preferred.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.Experience with financial reports is a plus.Operational accounting experience, including GL and close processes, is beneficial.Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple correspondence.Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr.
