POSITION SUMMARY
Our Athletic Trainer Sports Medicine Outreach are an integral part of our team, helping to manage day-to-day sports medicine operations for the FC Dallas Club.
The Assistant Athletic Trainer / Therapist will work alongside our Head Athletic Trainer / Physical Therapist to provide injury prevention strategies, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for our players' medical problems.
They will also be supervised by our Club Chief Medical Officer. If the Head Athletic Trainer / Therapist is unable to perform their duties, the Assistant Athletic Trainer / Therapist will step in to ensure seamless continuity of care.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the healthcare of Players including, but not limited to first aide / emergency care, on-site injury evaluation, application of appropriate modalities, development of rehabilitations and prevention programs, as well as conducting rehabilitation and making medical referrals.
- Maintain a complete and up to date roster of Player health and participation records in the League-provided electric medical records (EMR) system.
- Order, maintain, and inventory supplies and clinical equipment.
- Keep athletic training room and clinic area safe, clear, and organized.
- Comply with all MLS medical policies and protocols.
- Help Club Medical Staff regarding Player’s health and safety.
POSITION SUMMARY
- Required : At least 2 years as a Certified Athletic Trainer / Therapist
- Preferred : Soccer experience
EDUCATION
- Required : Four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Preferred : Master’s degree in a health-related field
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Preferred : NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer
- Required : Licensed in Texas as an Athletic Trainer Upon Hire
- Required : BLS / CPR thru the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider upon Hire
- Preferred : Certification : CSCS, PES, LMT, and / or NREMT, Certified Performance Sport Specialist (CPSS)
