Job Summary
As a Mechanical Engineer Intern at BPMI, you will work under significant oversight to perform routine technical functions to support company operations in areas including, but not limited to engineering evaluations and analyses, planning, designing, modeling, analyzing, documenting, and testing of nuclear, mechanical, structural, or electrical components, systems and equipment and facilities. Work may include operations support, safety analysis, vibration analysis, engineering methods and software development, and evaluation of procedures and systems for quality control or manufacturing surveillance.
This opportunity will begin Summer 2026, working a full-time schedule (40 hours / week). Please note, this is not a remote position. You will be expected to come into the office for this opportunity.
Our internship will give you the opportunity to work in your field of study while simultaneously pursuing your bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university. These opportunities can enhance your academic training while teaching critical business skills and allowing you to learn about BPMI, the Navy, and the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
