Volunteer Grant Writer Position Summary
Ignite Arts & STEM is a growing nonprofit dedicated to empowering BIPOC students pursuing careers in Arts & STEM fields. We achieve this through scholarships and mentoring, facilitating their transition from student to professional. Currently funded by individual donors, we're expanding our programs and seeking a passionate Volunteer Grant Writer to help us secure vital grant funding.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in fundraising and grant writing, develop a deeper understanding of nonprofit management, and build a strong professional network. We highly encourage retirees, stay-at-home parents, and H-4 Visa holders to apply!
Purpose
You'll play a crucial role in helping Ignite Arts & STEM achieve its mission to uplift, inspire, and engage Arts & STEM scholars. As a Volunteer Grant Writer, you will be instrumental in researching, writing, and coordinating our grant application process, and assisting with donation management.
This is a fully virtual role that requires someone capable of working independently with minimal supervision . While our headquarters are in Tarzana, CA, you do not need to reside in the Los Angeles metro area as all meetings are virtual. However, you must live in the United States to apply for this position; this role is not suitable for individuals seeking to gain work experience to maintain other specific visa statuses.
