Our mobile engineers are responsible for building the full suite of user experiences for our members, leveraging our proprietary backend banking core. The iOS app is written in Swift and utilizes gRPC to interface with our backend. Being the primary interface for our members to manage their finances (there isn't a web app), the mobile experience needs to be highly performant and intuitive to use. This forces our engineers to think through foundational layers of application infrastructure, reusable UI components, and the collection of data that drive these decisions.

We are looking for an iOS Engineering Manager to join our team in New York. You will work to lead the delivery of key business initiatives, improve existing architecture and services, and design large-scale data-intensive applications. You will be hands-on, leading your team by example and defining the standards of engineering excellence. The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years of management experience and a background in native iOS development.

Responsibilities :

• Provide technical and people leadership to a team of iOS engineers. Own team planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality features and platform improvements.
• Conduct regular one-on-ones, deliver timely and constructive feedback, support career growth, and foster a team culture of inclusion, psychological safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Define team priorities, technical roadmaps, and long-term platform investments aligned to business goals. Establish clear technical direction in collaboration with senior engineers and cross-functional partners.
• Define and maintain standards for code quality, testing, performance, and security. Implement processes to enable greater development velocity without sacrificing technical quality.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, QA, and backend teams to scope features, assess feasibility, align on priorities, and ensure the successful delivery of initiatives.
• Deeply understand the product and user experience to make informed technical and architectural decisions that tie back to customer and business goals.
• Stay close to the codebase review pull requests, troubleshoot complex bugs, and help resolve architectural or project bottlenecks. Lead by example and serve as a mentor and unblocker for the team.
