Cashier

The Cashier according to specified policies and procedures, is responsible for receiving and posting payments to patients account, totaling, and balancing payments. Performs a variety of other general office duties.

Essential Functions Of The Role

Collect payments for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency accounts. Receive money collected from all Business Office Cashiers. Post payment to patient accounts; balance receipts and totals. Maintain logs relating to patient valuables, change fund, and petty cash fund. Perform other general office and cashiering duties which include cashing checks for employees, Physicians, and patients, processing paperwork for deceased patients, processing returned checks, refunding money lost in vending machines and selling flower coupons to Mail Room.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma / GED Equivalent- EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
