Overview
Lead and supervise a small team of Structural Compatibility Discipline Engineers in the pursuit of F-35 Envelope Expansion and Flight Sciences Weapons Integration. Integrate and test Air-to-Ground weapon systems onto aircraft platforms, including the development of system design, testing, and certification plans. Provide technical expertise in development and testing of weapon systems, evaluate design changes, identify potential safety risks, and develop and maintain technical documentation such as system design documents, test plans, and test reports. Track instrumentation issues and anomalies, coordinate instrumentation repairs, and conduct pre-flight load predictions. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a small team of Structural Compatibility Discipline Engineers in F-35 Envelope Expansion and Flight Sciences Weapons Integration.
- Integrate and test Air-to-Ground weapon systems onto aircraft platforms; develop system design, testing, and certification plans.
- Provide technical expertise in weapon system development and testing, evaluate design changes, and identify safety risks.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system design documents, test plans, and test reports.
- Track instrumentation issues and anomalies, coordinate instrumentation repairs, and conduct pre-flight load predictions.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or related STEM discipline.Experience with statics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, or aerodynamics.Experience in weapons development, testing, and integration.Experience supporting Flight Test.Experience interfacing with DoD customers and suppliers.Desired Skills
Envelope expansion experience.Experience with IADS real-time and post-flight test data request tools.Experience in static loads analysis, structural analysis, aero / performance, stability & control, mass properties.Experience in post-flight test data requests and analysis.Conduct pre-flight load predictions and calculate various static loads.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Experience leading a team providing technical guidance to junior engineers.Experience building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional collaboration.Demonstrated leadership and ability to articulate complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to make informed decisions.Experience with Project Management methodologies.Experience managing resources, prioritizing tasks, and driving program execution with weapon assets.Understanding of FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, and Root Cause Corrective Action.EEO
