Under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides one-on-one behavioral services, collects data, and helps teach communication, social, and daily living skills. The role requires strong communication, patience, and a commitment to supporting individuals in achieving their goals in the home, clinic, community, and school settings.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work 1 : 1 with patients in the home, school, clinic, and community settings
- Consistently implement treatment plans with fidelity and prepare program materials
- Collect and maintain accurate data and clinical notes
- Review and implement consultation / supervision note recommendations
- Participate in ongoing training, evaluations, and meetings, as required
- Communicate effectively with the BCBA regarding learner's progress
- Communicate appropriately and effectively with colleagues and families, as needed
- Track supervision hours and annually renew the RBT certification as mandated by the BACB
- Work ethically and with integrity while following the BACB Ethical Code
- Understand and adhere to HIPAA policies
- Adhere to time and attendance policies
- Adhere to all of our policies and procedures
Qualification
Must have current / active RBT certificationHigh School Diploma (relevant college degree and coursework is preferred)The desire to work with children (experience with individuals with ASD) is preferredAvailability to work a minimum of 15 hours weekly, including some flexibility regarding schedule changes required to accommodate patient needsMust have reliable transportation to and from work locationRequired Documents / Trainings
