Researcher in Neuroimmunology (A)

Department of Psychiatry

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is now recruiting an Assistant Specialist. The position duties include :

• Designing, conducting, and analyzing experiments related to the fields of developmental neuroscience and neuroimmunology, specifically neurodevelopmental disorders.
• Proficiency in several laboratory techniques including perfusions, tissue processing, immunohistochemistry, tissue clearing, confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, primary cell culture, cloning, AAV production, new animal model generation, animal behavior, postnatal intracerebroventricular injections, and single-cell RNA sequencing.
• Animal model husbandry and colony maintenance, with a specific focus on developmental staging, pup handling, pup injections and pup surgeries.
• Preparing manuscripts, assisting in grant applications, and presenting research at conferences
• Training and mentoring junior lab members in research techniques and best practices
• Managing project timelines, resources, and laboratory records
• Ensuring compliance with safety, ethical, and institutional guidelines
