Senior Staff Accountant
The Senior Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the company's financial operations by ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, assisting in the preparation of financial statements, and supporting internal and external audits. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements.
- Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Support intercompany accounting and reconciliations across global entities.
- Maintain fixed asset records and perform depreciation calculations.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and system upgrades.
- Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain documentation for critical accounting processes and controls, recommending improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education Requirements :A bachelor's degree in accountingExperience Requirement :Four or more years of accounting experienceKnowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements :Strong understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP and / or IFRS).Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SAGE100 (preference)) and Microsoft Excel.Proven experience in accounting for inventory.Understanding of inventory-related journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement impact.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to communicate effectively across departments and cultures.Acosta, and its subsidiaries, is an Equal Opportunity Employer
