Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager position is responsible for managing sales activities within assigned district. Activities include organizing, developing, and leading district sales representatives to achieve sales objectives.

Overnight travel may be required to effectively manage the territory. Additional travel may be required for training and / or company sponsored meetings.

Candidate must reside in Orlando, FL (or immediately region surrounding).

Essential Functions

  • Develop, implement, and measure outcomes of strategic business plans in order to meet sales objectives while in accordance with all applicable company and regulatory standards.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and objectives for designated products and / or product portfolio within the region through the direct management of sales representatives and provide regular performance updates to sales director as needed.
  • Participate in face-to-face sales calls with sales representatives, plan and execute regional sales meetings, conduct field coaching and routine performance evaluations of sales representatives, and participate in company / company sponsored meetings.
  • Analyze sales data, rep performance, and trends. Formulate and implement strategies for representatives to create product demand and sales revenue while improving Customer Satisfaction.
  • Monitor and evaluate competitor activities and products, provide regular progress updates to various groups in the home office, and respond to requests for information regarding regional business.
  • Monitor and control expenditures of region to meet budgetary requirements.
  • Serve as liaison between Cx and Rx Commercial Teams, field sales management, and other departments such as Human Resources, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities :
  • Directly supervise an assigned team of sales representatives ranging from 5 - 10.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and all applicable laws.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work;
  • Reward and discipline employees;
  • Address complaints and resolve problems.
  • Recruit, interview, select, hire, train, and measure performance of Cx Skin Care Specialist (sales representatives).
  • Actively lead, coach, and develop representatives in assigned district.
  • Develop positive team norms as it relates to culture, behaviors and performance while furthering the functional skill sets of team members.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university is required,
  • MBA preferred
  • Eight (8) or more years of related commercial experience required; may include (but not limited to) sales, product / brand management, sales training management, national account management (trade and / or managed care), and / or similar experience
  • Previous pharma experience recommended with Dermatology and / or Consumer sales experience preferred
  • One (1) or more years of sales management experience, people management experience, and / or completion of Management Training program preferred, Galderma specific experience may be considered in lieu of management experience.
  • Experience in analyzing data, identifying trends and formulating and executing action plans
  • Ability to travel overnight as needed based on field rides, customer visits and meeting requirements
  • Excellent teamwork, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong customer relationship building experience with demonstrated results
  • Demonstrate high level of integrity and accountability
  • Proficient with MS Office, Windows, and familiar with sales tracking and reporting software
  • Demonstrated career progression to roles with increased responsibilities, preferred.
