Job Description

The Senior Solution Engineer, Insurance will be a technical expert and key contributor within the Solutions Engineering team at Nearmap, specifically focused on supporting clients in the property & casualty (P&C) insurance industry. This role will involve deep technical knowledge of Nearmaps platform, including 2D, 3D, and AI technologies, to help clients solve business challenges related to underwriting, claims, and risk management. Working alongside cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, and Technology, the Senior Solution Engineer will develop tailored solutions and deliver compelling product demonstrations to showcase the value of Nearmap's content and technology in driving better decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

Client Engagement and Insurance-Specific Support :

• Lead technical discussions with P&C insurance clients to understand their unique workflows in underwriting, claims, and risk mitigation.
• Conduct customized product demonstrations showcasing Nearmaps geospatial solutions, focusing on applications in claims assessment, risk scoring, and underwriting decisions.
• Drive Proof of Concept (POC) processes to demonstrate the value of Nearmaps solutions in specific insurance use cases, such as post-catastrophe analysis, risk profiling, and claims triage.
• Respond to insurance-specific RFIs / RFPs, tailoring technical responses to address client pain points and regulatory requirements.
• Build scenario-based demo scripts that address real-world insurance scenarios, such as property inspections, loss-control evaluations, and damage assessment.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a technical role, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in technical presales or solution engineering in the insurance industry.
