Job description

Provides directs supervision to activities of a billing department which may include accounts receivable, charge entry, payment posting, credits, and other reimbursement related activities; and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • College experience in related field i.e. business or healthcare etc. preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years comprehensive medical billing experience to include; charge entry, AR follow up and payment posting
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory or team leader experience is preferred
  • General understanding and application of complex accounting principles

Total Rewards

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland's Faculty Physician's Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education / training and other qualifications.
