A school in Wake Forest, NC is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position focuses on providing support within an inclusive elementary classroom setting. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment for students with special needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver individualized instruction to a caseload of approximately 15 students across grades K-6, including support for 6th grade inclusion classrooms.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to implement inclusive teaching strategies.
- Develop and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students learning goals.
- Monitor student progress and municate effectively with parents, staff, and administration.
- Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment conducive to learning and development.
Qualifications :
Valid Special Education teaching certification.Experience working in an inclusion classroom environment serving grades K-6.Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional techniques, and assessment tools.Ability to manage a caseload of students with varying needs.Excellent munication and organizational skills.Position Details :
