Overview :
Family owned and operated since 1923; we are a fourth-generation bakery supply business with a passion for providing the best service and customer experience in the industry. We are currently seeking a self-motivated and success driven bilingual (English / Spanish) Sales Representative to join our team and help us continue to grow.
Job Duties :
Customer Management :
- Ability to identify Customer needs, challenges, and opportunities in order to develop loyalty and repeat business.
- Provide Customers with timely order updates and status.
- Resolve Customer issues / complaints in an expeditious fashion.
- Facilitate Customer inquiries / requests – Samples, Product Information, Product Pricing, etc.
- Effectively manage your assigned territory and pursue new business opportunities.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of Zilka & Company’s products and services.
New Business Growth :
Responsible for soliciting new customers; including cold calling and generating leads through various methods.Responsible for the identification and conversion of competitive business opportunities.Expand product usage with existing customers.Financial Stewardship :
Responsible for the submission of timely and accurate volume projections & forecasts.Manage & monitor Customer payment terms and collections (as required).Communication & Collaboration :
Maintain open & ongoing communication to ensure directional clarity with Zilka & Company management.Maintain regular & ongoing contact with assigned Customers – written / verbal.Participate in conference calls and sales meetings throughout the year.Job Requirements :
Strong sales and interpersonal skills.Ability to effectively communicate with management, customers and other business contacts.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks / projects simultaneously.Ability to represent the Company in a professional & diligent fashion.Must be a self-starter who works well independently.Ability to work inside and meet deadlines set in place by management.Ability to travel for company business.Competent with technology and basic software systems, i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Experience and knowledge of the baking industry are a plus.Ability to speak, write and understand both English and Spanish.Zilka & Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer : EEO.
