Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $1,825 per week at OKTUL St John Medical Center summary :

As a Travel Nurse RN in the Intensive Care Unit, I provide direct nursing care, implementing and monitoring patient care plans while coordinating with healthcare teams. I utilize critical thinking and decisive judgment in a high-stress environment, ensuring comprehensive patient assessment and discharge planning. This role requires adherence to established protocols and necessitates certifications such as BLS and ACLS.

Job Details

  • Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • Implements and monitors patient care plans.
  • Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

    • Job Requirements

  • Current Oklahoma RN license or compact license.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification required within 30 days of start.
  • Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.

    • Schedule Information

  • Travel position with a contract length of 13 weeks.

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Neuro / Trauma ICU unit.

    • Additional Details

  • Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or Positive IGG Titer required.
  • Fit Test required for all travelers, preferred to be completed prior to start.
  • Documentation of vaccination series completion or declination required.
  • Flu season is October 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025; exemptions accepted but masks required.
  • Health Statement required prior to first assignment.
