The Residential Counselors at the Women's Residential Center are responsible for supervising and providing crisis counseling and support services for clients in a residential therapeutic community. These services are provided both at the treatment center and in traveling with the clients in the community on recreation activities, on community service activities and recovery meetings.

Education, Training and Experience :

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of social service experience preferred but not required.
• Prior experience using conflict resolution skills in a dynamic environment. Crisis counseling experience preferred.
• Prefer knowledge of addictions, criminal behavior, and at-risk populations.
• Experience with medical health records preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility : Position is not responsible for supervising other employees.

Work Environment :

Environmental Conditions : Work is performed in a residential treatment center. May be required to intervene in crisis situations or work with agitated clients. Must be prepared to handle client crises and / or emergencies

Position Type / Expected Hours of work : This is a full-time position, 40 hours / week, night shift,Tuesday-Saturday 10 pm - 6 : 30 am.
