We are seeking a dedicated Systems Engineer II to contribute to our Radar test activities in Huntsville, AL. This role involves supporting radar analysis and both ground and flight test endeavors. You will play a crucial part in engineering activities, including testing for radar development, creating verification strategies for advanced radar capabilities and software builds, and executing these strategies within a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) or other simulation environments. You will collaborate closely with engineering team members and may be required to travel for onsite activities at Raytheon or government facilities.

What You Will Do :

Conduct performance analysis using modeling and simulation tools to support Ground Test and Flight Test events.

Engage in collaborative analysis activities with group leads, senior management, and government personnel.

Compile and present analysis results in reports and briefings for internal and external stakeholders.

Participate in engineering activities encompassing test validation, modeling, simulation, and radar data analysis.

Contribute to test planning, execute verification / validation events, perform analysis, and provide support to program teams.

Involve in peer reviews, gate reviews, and test readiness evaluations.

Ensure the test and evaluation processes are compliant with established procedures for both software and hardware.

Qualifications You Must Have :

Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Experience in test integration, methodologies, simulation-based environments, and data analysis.

Proficiency in basic scripting and / or software development using languages such as MATLAB, Python, C / C++, and / or Linux (Red Hat).

Experience in systems engineering, particularly in integration, verification, and system testing.

Possession of an active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is mandatory prior to start date.

Qualifications We Prefer :

Hands-on experience in testing, integration, or verification of X-Band or Early Warning Radars and other Missile Defense System sensors.

Collaborative experience working in multidisciplinary teams of systems engineering professionals.

Experience interfacing with stakeholders to provide technical solutions, analyze radar data, and maintain technical documents.

Familiarity with MATLAB, Linux Operating Systems, and Shell scripting for test analysis.

Experience in creating test procedures and scripts.

Knowledge of requirements traceability, management, and documentation of IV&V products within DOORS.

Adeptness in systems engineering activities with a willingness to travel locally and occasionally non-locally.

Expertise in developing verification strategies for radar capabilities and software builds, simulating scenarios to assess sensor performance.

Strong integration skills and willingness to collaborate with team members effectively.

The salary range for this role is $66,000 - $130,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for all experience levels and is subject to various factors, including role, location, and individual qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) match, and more depending on the specific business unit.
