Nurse patient ratios are : Days 5 : 1, Nights 6 : 1. On our unit we offer you the opportunity to develop excellent critical thinking skills as well as use a wide variety of clinical skills including : Head-to-toe assessments Reading and posting telemetry strips IV insertions Catheter, trach, and ostomy care Wound care Chest tubes Qualifications : Education : Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program. Licensure : Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and / or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements. Certifications : Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
