Data Engineering Lead

Aptimized is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Onsite Lead to spearhead the design, development, and modernization of enterprise-scale data platforms. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can architect, implement, and optimize data engineering solutions while working closely with business and technology stakeholders in an onsite capacity.

The successful candidate will lead end-to-end data engineering initiatives including data ingestion, integration, modeling, and advanced analytics enablement. This is a critical position for delivering scalable, performant, and secure data pipelines and warehouses, supporting both real-time and batch workloads, and aligning with the firm's cloud-first Data Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Advanced Integration

• Architect, design, and implement high-performance ETL / ELT pipelines across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
• Lead migration and modernization of on-premises data warehouses to cloud-based ecosystems (Fabric, Azure Synapse, ADLS2).
• Implement real-time streaming pipelines using technologies like Azure Event Hubs, Kafka, or Spark Structured Streaming.
• Enforce data quality frameworks (DQ checks, anomaly detection, reconciliation processes) ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data.
• Optimize storage, compute, and query performance for large-scale data workloads.
