Working together, our Los Angeles hospitals have created a successful Patient Hub a transfer center that moves eligible patients from other hospitals to available beds in our hospitals for quality care.

Job Summary :

Imaging Department Transporter is responsible for transporting the patient to and from the department is a safe and timely manner.

The transporter follows all hospital rules as it pertains to notifying the nursing staff that the patient leaving or being returned to the department and ensures the communications between departments is clear and concise.

Essential Job Duties :

  • Transports patients to and from Department, observing safety and patient privacy protocols.
  • Assists Technical personnel and Radiologists by performing a variety of duties for patients.
  • Demonstrates understanding of equipment and patient needs (O2, IV poles, monitors, etc.)
  • Performs Clerical duties and film processing.
  • Performs any other duties or responsibilities which may be assigned.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned. Assists in training of students and new staff and assists in ordering supplies.

Education / Experience :

  • High School Diploma
  • Recent hospital experience preferred.

Licensure / Certifications :

CPR certificate (BLS)
