Job Details :

• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Float within Zone 4 (60-mile radius from Garden City, KS) with no home base facility
• Must be willing to travel between Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital (Ulysses), St. Catherine-Dodge City, and St. Catherine-Garden City
• Responsible for obtaining housing that makes floating throughout the full 60-mile zone feasible
• Nurse to patient ratios of 1 : 4-5 based on acuity
• Treat 6-49 patients per day depending on location
• Handle common diagnoses including abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension
• Work with standard ER medications and drips
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips (no monitor tech available)
• Will be trained to perform Point of Care lab testing
• Charge nurses take patient assignments
• RT available 24 / 7 for support
• Required certifications : ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC
• Navy blue scrub color required
• 2-3 days unit-specific orientation required
• Must complete week of orientation in-state
• Epic EMR system used for charting
• Every other holiday requirement
