Shift Supervisor
Allied Universal is hiring shift supervisors for the Science Center / U Penn. The position is part time, working Wednesday through Thursday, 4pm-12am and Saturday 12am-8am.
The shift supervisor must be at least 23 years of age, have more than 2 years of experience in security, and have supervisor / leadership experience preferred. A resume must be uploaded before the scheduled interview.
Weekly pay is available, as well as a work today, get paid today option. The hourly rate is $20.60. There are excellent career advancement opportunities, and benefits include paid orientation, medical, dental, vision, and 401k for full-time employees.
Responsibilities include making emergency notifications, providing direction and instruction to subordinates, cross-training officers, making productivity and cost reduction recommendations, making recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders, making recommendations for personnel actions, overseeing staffing, scheduling, and on-site training, ensuring contract required training and screening elements are met, maintaining overtime to minimum or predefined levels, ensuring quality of service and contract compliance, and performing other operations and related functions.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, current and valid driver's license, one or more of the following : associate's degree or higher, service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard, service in auxiliary police or police cadets, minimum of one year of verifiable and successful security experience, minimum of two years of verifiable work experience demonstrating excellent customer service skills, ability to maintain poise and self-control during emergency situations, capability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, effective oral and written communication skills, planning and organizing skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, problem solving skills, coaching, mentoring, motivating skills, active listening skills, encouraging effective teamwork, assessing and evaluating situations effectively, synthesizing facts, concepts, principles, identifying critical issues quickly and accurately, compiling, sorting, and interpreting data, researching, investigating, compiling information, mediating conflict with tact, diplomacy, setting and achieving goals, and attending to detail.
Preferred qualifications include experience in emergency management systems FEMA incident command certification, working knowledge of EMS protocols, medical first responder or emergency medical technician.
