We are currently seeking an Operations Manager, Banking as a Service to join our Operations team. The Embedded Banking Operations Manager is responsible for liaising between business requirements and technical / data needs, drive the operationalization of funds flows, perform reconciliation, processor operations, ACH operations, and network card operations.

Embedded banking involves integrating banking services into non-banking platforms such as mobile apps or e-commerce websites, enabling users to conduct banking activities within the platform they're using.

These financial services are directly incorporated into their existing offerings, including deposit accounts, payment processing, and lending.

This position is eligible for a Hybrid schedule in Wichita, KS and surrounding areas. Remote in South Dakota, Utah, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Nebraska.

Essential functions of the role :

  • Leverage BaaS experience to guide and shape the implementation of banking operations for the Emprise Embedded business, ensuring alignment with industry best practices
  • Liaise between business and support function stakeholders and technical and data teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of operational requirements
  • Develop and implement new operational processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in funds flows, settlement, reconciliation, processor operations, ACH operations, and network card operations
  • Drive continuous improvement, offer solutions, and demonstrate performance in support of business goals
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks by implementing robust control measures and staying abreast of industry regulations and compliance standards Collaborate across functions to seek innovative process improvements
  • Act as the primary liaison and point of communication for customers, Emprise associates, other banks and vendors involving funds flow, reconciliation, processor operations, ACH operations, and card operations
  • Work closely with product development, technology, and data teams to ensure development of scalable and effective banking operations within our embedded banking solutions
  • Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs) to monitor and report on the effectiveness of operational processes, making data-driven recommendations for improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related Field
  • Minimum 7 years of leadership experience in Banking Operations required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Banking as a Service (BaaS) required
  • Strong understating of funds flows, reconciliation, processor operations, ACH operations, and network card operations
  • Proficiency with large server based applications and typical desktop software
