Location : Chicago, IL Job Description : Prepares blood specimens for research, including centrifuging, aliquoting, measuring, pipetting, labeling, storing, and shipping.
Delivers samples to other laboratories throughout the campus as needed. Analyzes patient glucose levels using the YSI machine.
Records and maintains patient results and related data. Prepare study-related documentation, such as protocol worksheets, procedural manuals, adverse event reports, institutional review board documents, or progress reports.
Prepares quality and safety control measures for the laboratory, such as checks of equipment, temperature control, and documentation of quality improvement projects.
Performs other related work as needed. Preferred Qualifications Education : Bachelor's degree or higher in a Chemical, Biological, or Physical Science is strongly preferred.
Preferred Competencies Ability to comprehend and interpret written instructions and process specimens accordingly. Ability to work independently;
accountability; good attention to detail and capable of a high degree of precision and accuracy in lab work; ability to keep accurate records, data entry, and sample inventory.
