About The Position

Job Title : RN ICU Stepdown Intermediate Care

License : Active RN License

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification

Must-Have :

• Strong critical care nursing skills
• Ability to assess and manage a diverse patient population

Description :

Start date of 12 / 8 is non-negotiable.

Position requires 36 or 48 hours per week.

Float assignments may occur between units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity.

Travelers will receive notification before their scheduled shift if a float assignment is required.

Unit capacity is 42 beds.

Patient population served includes young adults through late adults (ages 18-60+).

Patients may have a variety of diagnoses, including chest pain, post kidney transplant, acute renal failure, congestive heart failure, GI bleed, pneumonia, myocardial infarction, pulmonary disease (with or without mechanical ventilation), and those undergoing thoracic or other surgical procedures with comorbidities.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2.
