The Nocturnal Observer works within the framework of the Center as an integral member of the Renal Health Care Team. This individual monitors all DNHD patients, records runs and begins and ends treatments in a timely manner. This person participates in providing assistance with computer or treatment problems, seeking equipment technical support or nursing support as necessary.
Schedule : Full-time, three 12.5-hour shifts
Compensation : Pay range from $36,608-$52,181 annually, depending on healthcare experience; experience not required

Responsibilities
What You Can Expect :
Monitors daily nocturnal hemodialysis patients in a timely and accurate manner : Records runs and begins and ends treatments.Troubleshoot problems with equipment and treatments, arranges for repairs of any malfunctioning equipment; maintain the home dialysis area and order supplies as necessary.Is knowledge of and follows the clinics' Risk Management program.Calls for technical and nursing support when necessary.Actively participates in the clinic CQI program and other projects as assigned by the Nurse Manager.Assists the DNHD Program Coordinator in teaching patients and their families about ESRD and daily nocturnal hemodialysis.Keeps DNHD Program Coordinator and Renal Administrator advised of needed repairs.Assume dialysis responsibilities, as necessary, in acute situations under the supervision of the Physician Director and / or a qualified Staff Nurse.Maintains adequate inventories of supplies for the day-to-day operations of the daily nocturnal hemodialysis program.Assists the clinical staff by starting machine rinse cycles and auto test cycles when possible.Recognizes and reports patient problems to Daily Nocturnal Hemodialysis Program Coordinator or Clinical Services Coordinator.
