Inventory Control Staff Analyst

Responsibilities

• Ensure all inventory movements are properly documented and controlled : Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate with various departments to verify transactions.
• Collaborate with Logistics, IT, and Retail Operations : Work closely with these teams to ensure robust inventory control and efficient operations across the organization.
• Coordinate Physical Inventories : Manage and oversee the planning and execution of physical inventory counts.
• Document inventory policies and procedures : Establish clear guidelines and methods for inventory management and control.
• Policy Implementation : Assist in the development and enforcement of policies with management to ensure operational compliance.
• System and Process Implementation : help guide DC in the adoption and implementation of new technologies and processes that enhance inventory accuracy and reporting.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors : Provide necessary documentation and assist in audits related to inventory.
• Complete special projects : Take on additional projects as needed to support the inventory management objectives of the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 1-4 years of experience in inventory control or related functions.
• Strong analytical and data management skills.
• Experience with inventory management systems : Familiarity with systems like JDA, WMS (Manhattan), SAP, and other relevant inventory or business intelligence tools.
• Excellent communication skills : Ability to articulate findings and collaborate effectively with team members and across departments.
• Problem-solving and organizational skills : Strong capability to manage multiple tasks and solve complex issues related to inventory control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word : Essential for managing data and reporting.
• Experience in the retail sector : Understanding of retail operations can be advantageous, though not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision : Must be self-motivated and capable of working autonomously.
