Manage the evaluation, planning, and implementation of clinical effectiveness projects as part of Advocate's safety, quality and cost management initiatives.
Position is responsible for leading interdisciplinary project teams which are strategically to improving Advocate's cost position and health outcomes Position encompasses project management, consultation, facilitation, data analytics and interpretation, and execution for prioritized operational, clinical and financial projects.
Position will be responsible for developing metrics to successfully track improvement and will partner with key leadership and stakeholders to identify and achieve priorities, goals, and objectives.
This position has direct support responsibility for the analysis and monitoring performance over time of operational data in helping identify trends, correlations, opportunities for improvement, and cost implications.
The position also provides support, consultation and education at a site and system level on operational analytics, measurement, and process improvement methodologies, including design and conduction of original analysis, research, statistical analysis and operational data management.
Major Responsibilities :
- Planning & Implementing - Manages, plans, and executes System clinical effectiveness Projects utilizing Advocate's Project Management methodology.
- Monitors visual performance boards, site scorecards, key performance indicators and / or other designated performance dashboards.
- Partner with a multidisciplinary team of senior leadership, middle management, physician leaders, frontline associates and physicians associates to execute and drive system project performance on clinical effectiveness and service line initiatives.
- Identify and remove roadblocks and barriers that hinder the progress of the effort.
- Coordinate and lead improvement initiatives and transformation efforts utilizing a holistic approach and change strategies.
- Provides consultation services regarding best practices of deployment with specific emphasis on systemic implementation.
- Provides coaching to leaders, directors, managers, physicians and staff for effective project management. Motivates project team.
- Serves as primary interface with key stakeholders on tasks, deliverables and issues regarding system projects.
- Responsible for being a catalyst for the organizational level change effort by creating a shared need, shaping the vision, mobilizing the commitment, helping to make change last, and monitoring the progress.
- Analytics and measurement
- Partner with process owner and other key resources to establish and Conducts analyses of operational and financial performance to identify opportunities to improvement the performance of the organization - along quality, safety and reduced operating cost.
- Partners with CHIS to identify quality, safety and cost data on the continuum of care to align opportunities and monitor performance with clinical effectiveness initiatives.
- Partners with finance department and operating sites to align costs management and operational improvements into annual operating budget and to align opportunities and monitor performance with initiatives.
- Partners with supply chain to identify areas of variation in physician preference items and supplies and impact on cost management and quality / safety performance.
- Establishes monthly monitoring of performance of operational changes against projected performance.
- Communicating and Training - Ensure effective communication with key leaders and stakeholders while enhancing overall development of leadership and associates.
- Prepares and presents appropriate communication deliverables to organizational stakeholders inclusive of senior leadership, department leaders, physicians / APP and / or staff as appropriate.
- Responsible for effectively communicating outcomes both internally and externally, including reporting of project outcomes to Senior Leadership Team and stakeholders.
- Assists with on-boarding activities, orientation, and training for new team members.
- Develops and executes effective communication and training plans, identifies issues and provides solution recommendations.
- Proactively anticipates and responds to information needs relevant to key stakeholders.
Education and Experience Required :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years managing IT systems.
- Project Management experience
Skills Required :
- Ability to use problem solving techniques and processes.
- Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience and knowledge of electronic data exchange and interfaces.
