Certified Emergency Department Coder

A company is looking for a Physician Coder ED.

Key Responsibilities

Conducts CPT and ICD-10 coding reviews and performs chart audits for accuracy in coding and charge capture

Maintains productivity standards and stays updated on coding practices through ongoing education

Researches coding issues, responds to coding inquiries, and ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines

Required Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent work experience (minimum of 2 years)

Certification as a CPC (Certified Professional Coder) and CEDC (Certified Emergency Department Coder)

2-5 years of experience in an Emergency Department coding environment

In-depth knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding systems

Strong understanding of medical terminology and health records management
