Job Details

  • A large hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced Neuro ICU / Intensive Care Unit RN's for a travel assignment. The right candidate will have two years of Neuro ICU experience in a large level one Trauma facility. To learn more about this opportunity contact Medical Solutions.

    • Job Requirements

  • Must have two years of Neuro ICU experience in a large level one Trauma facility
  • Must hold an active ACLS & BLS
  • Must have an active AZ license or compact
  • MUST HAVE LEVEL 1 TRAUMA EXP
  • MUST HAVE EVD EXPERIENCE
  • Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance
  • No first time travelers
  • Must have strong neuro assessment skills and ICP monitoring experience

    • Schedule Information

  • 12hr / 7-7. May be placed on Standby for a scheduled shift
  • Day 1 PASS / FAIL SIMs Lab requirements
  • 2 weekends per 4 weeks
  • 2 out of 3 major holidays

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Charge Nurse does not take patients
  • Floating : Required to float between all ICU floors, and all Tele Units
  • Floor specific orientation : 2 shifts on the floor
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients : Any patient that would qualify for critical care with a neuro diagnosis
  • Hospital does cranis, brain tumor removal and ablations, brain biopsies, complicated spine surgeries and scoliosis repair

  • Medical Solutions Pre-Screens
  • If clinical recommends, AUTO OFFER
  • SIMs lab is pass / fail
  • Travelers that understand sterile field typically pass SIMs Lab skills
  • In addition to SIMs Lab, they will also go through lifts, restraints, & wound care
