Logistics Manager
The Logistics Manager is responsible for leading the division's Logistics, Shipping, and FG Warehouse Teams. This manager is responsible for qualifying and scheduling freight outbound carriers based on cost, capabilities, schedule, and other relevant factors with timeliness and safe product delivery being paramount. The Finished Goods Inventory Management including cycle count and accuracy is also included in the purview of this manager.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities :
- Lead, manage, plan and coordinate all functions in the FG Warehouse to ensure safe and accessible storage of products as well as inventory accuracy
- Oversee, manage and implement all finished goods packaging so as to ensure minimal damage during transport.
- On-time delivery of all IDX products distributed from the division.
- Oversee the selection and scheduling of freight carriers to ensure that IDX products are delivered intact with minimal damage, on time, and cost-effective for all shipments
- Ensure proper staffing and develop employees through cross-training initiatives to ensure we build depth and leverage our skills base throughout the organization
- Responsible for Monthly Reporting of cycle count data to the Financial Team based on established procedures
- Maintain safety as a priority ensuring complete leadership and support on Safety Policies and Programs, including legal compliance, Personal Protective Equipment, and all other aspects of safety
- May be required to be involved in the recruiting process, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action
Qualification :
10 years experience in Warehousing Operations in a wood and / or metal manufacturing environment, preferably in the consumer environments industry5 years of experience leading a Logistics and Distribution TeamExtensive experience with cross-border logistics, working with brokers and carriersExtensive experience in NAFTA compliance and US CustomsHighly organized with the tenacity to succeed in a constant high-pressure environmentExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead, motivate and influence people at all levels internally and externallyExcellent knowledge of ERP systems as well as good general computer skillsA high level of communication skills including written, oral, negotiation, and collaboration is requiredOperations Manager
The Operations Manager will lead the performance and profitability of a new corrugated packaging facility within UFP Packaging. This role is pivotal in launching and scaling operations at the new site, and may serve as the lead person for the plant. The Operations Manager is responsible for the daily management and coordination of production and support services HR, safety, shipping, maintenance, and other administrative functions.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities :
Staffs, develops, and coaches the operations, production, and administrative management team, evaluates performance and initiates corrective action as required.Evaluates plant(s)'s performance to budget. Plans and initiates corrective action as required.Ensures that all plant(s) assets are properly managed and safeguarded.Ensures plant(s) meets operating budgets and ROI expectations.Develops and / or approves production objectives, goals, and operating short and long-term plans.Ensures that job classifications and compensation levels are relevant to the labor market and are in line with cost goals.Leads the operation's new product development initiatives.Ensures that finished goods' pricing is optimal to ensure maximum profitability levels for the plant(s).Responsible for product costing and burden accuracy.Responsible for optimizing operations - cuts and yields, to maximize the "mfg. for margin" opportunities.Approves account payables and payroll.Develops and / or approves specific operating policies and procedures as required.Ensures the operation(s) complies with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations and all Company policies and procedures.Participates as an active member of the plant Safety Committee and ensures that plant(s) operations are consistent with Company and OSHA policies, practices, and procedures.Prepares various reports as required.Performs other duties as required.Qualification :

Salary Pay Range : $70,000- $110,000 annually dependent on experience.
Bonus / Incentive Pay : Annual performance bonus opportunity based on Company and specific business unit ROI and PBOP achievement criteria and individual job responsibility and performance.
