As a FLEET MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN 3, you provide technical support, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance duties as assigned and respond to breakdowns in a professional and timely manner while following all safety protocols. Working knowledge of Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems. You will work with a cross-functional team to ensure requirements, needs and implementations will satisfy Daikin expectations.
Position Responsibilities may include;
- Perform established preventative maintenance programs
- Assist with all aspects of new equipment installation
- Assist management with scheduling fleet maintenance projects
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and machine manuals, electrical blueprints / schematics
- Ensure all equipment adheres to all applicable safety requirements
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain good 6S housekeeping standards
- Perform additional projects / duties to support ongoing business needs
- Reads work order and observes and listens to truck in operation to determine malfunction / diagnose the problem(s). Record all work in FIIX CMMS
- Makes mechanical repairs to equipment after a complete inspection and analysis of breakdown has been completed. Maintain accurate and complete departmental records
- Records complete repair description on work order, including the correct model and the serial number of equipment and record hour meter reading
- Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks and adjust
- Lubricates moving parts and drives repaired truck to verify conformance to specifications
- Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to mechanical assemblies
- Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems
- Remove and replace work or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system
- Realign and adjust components such as spindles, clutches, ball screws, and others as required
- Start machines and equipment to test operation following inspection
- Provide written reports of inspection findings and recommendations for repair
- Ability to trouble-shoot and repair maintain, and rebuild all production equipment, including electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and diesel-powered heavy equipment
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence. Responds to calls from production and management to make repairs on assets
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

7-10+ years of related mechanical experience and or / training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Education / Certification :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceAssociate’s degree in electrical or mechanical field or graduation from a trade school, any certifications are a plus, preferred but not mandatoryTechnical degree, previous battery and charger repair experience, welding skills, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferredPeople Management : No
